![]() Mark Fardy C.A. President & CEO Mark is Class 1 Inc.’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Originally from the east coast, Mark’s background is in finance and business development. A C.A., by trade, he began his career with KPMG before moving into industry, where he has had the opportunity to build great teams in a diverse range of businesses.
Mark has 20 years experience in the manufacturing and service sectors, focusing on value-added results in business development, operations, finance and supply chain management.
Mark is responsible for developing and executing Class 1’s growth goals as Canada’s leading provider of Medical Gas Systems.
![]() Ruben Romero CMA Controller Ruben holds a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation, a Degree in Public Accounting and a Cost and Estimate Diploma, combined with a wide range of experience in the manufacturing, construction and retail industries. He has been working in finance since 1991. His previous roles have included entry level accounting up to Financial Director of an organization.
Prior to the completion of his CMA certification, Ruben had updated his skills by taking additional courses such as; Canadian Business Law and Personal Tax Return at Conestoga College. In addition, he has a Computer Studies Certificate from Saint Louis Centre.
Some of Ruben’s responsibilities are assisting in the completion of monthly and year-end income statements, balance sheets, cost analysis, as well as ensuring that the organization meets the Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE). The new GAAP in Canada.
Ruben joined Class 1 in 2010; he is enjoying his new position.
![]() Tricia Blondin Director, Business Development Tricia is a graduate of the Toronto School of Business. Prior to joining the Class 1 team in 2004, Tricia worked for Butcher Engineering, Madison MacArthur and American Standard in progressively demanding roles. Tricia joined Class 1 as a Project Manager for their architectural division, and as of August 2006, she moved into the role of Account Manager for Architectural, Electrical & Mechanical projects. Tricia works closely with Hospital Staff, General, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors, Engineering Consultants and Architects to assist with providing product design specifications and corresponding CSA Standards for manufacturing and installation.
Glen is a graduate of the Aviation and Industrial Engineering Technology program at Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario. Glen’s early work history includes a 5 year tenure with Worldways Airlines as Supervisor of Flight Operations. Glen joined Class 1 as Account Manager after gaining 17 years experience in the Healthcare industry with Medigas Manitoba. Glen’s vast experience includes Sales, Service, Design, and Consulting in the Medical Gas Equipment field, as well as Respiratory and Home Healthcare experience. Glen is often called upon to lend his Medical Gas expertise to Engineers, Contractors, and other Medical Professionals for product design, specifications, applications and current medical gas standards.
![]() Natasha Reid Account Manager, Medical Accessories Natasha joined Class 1 in 2007 as a Project Administrator. She has since moved into her new role as the Client Service and Production Control Manager. Prior to joining the Class 1 team, Natasha worked for 7 years at Image Craft/Paramount with special focus on the fixture department where she worked as a Project Manager leading projects from concept and design straight through to delivery and installation. Natasha continues to grow with the industry, working closely with Hospitals, Contractors, and Engineers and remains dedicated to customer satisfaction.
![]() Cesar Martinez Systems Designer Cesar Martinez is a valued member of the Engineering department for Class 1 Inc. He graduated University with a degree in Eletronics Engineering and has been in the electrical design field since 1996. Cesar has specialized in the Engineered Automated Systems in a wide range of fields such as Medium Voltage Power Distribution, Automotive, Pharmaceutical and Wood products for over 13 years. Cesar has extensive knowledge of the Canadian and U.S. electrical codes and regulatory issues and leads Class 1's CSA Certification program for control panels. Cesar’s hands on experience covers a wide range of electrical, PLC and electronic components. He is actively involved in R&D, system field installations, testing, start ups and trouble shooting. Class 1 Inc. is moving into the systems communications era, designing systems capable of remotely monitoring and wider system diagnostics, thanks to the new PLC / HMI architecture. Cesar has been involved in the conceptual development of turn key automation projects which includes the electrical design and the PLC / HMI architecture. He’s committed next year to take on the mechanical design for the medical systems manufactured by Class 1 Inc.
![]() Adam Foerster MSU Designer Adam is a graduate of Conestoga College's Mechanical Engineering Technology - Design and Analysis Program.
![]() Vicky Glowik Purchaser Vicky brings over 15 years of experience from a variety of purchasing environments including electronic components, information technology and maintenance.
Vicky attended Conestoga College and successfully completed courses in Purchasing, Quality and Inventory & Operations Control.
Vicky joined Class 1 in September 2009.
Brendan began his career by working for a mechanical wholesaler, where he gained valuable experience with all facets of the mechanical trade. He began his apprenticeship in 1990 and now, as a licensed Plumber, has 17 years of successful and progressive work experience in healthcare and hospital environments, with the last 10 years dedicated strictly to the medical gas industry. Brendan has been a worker, foreman and/or supervisor for every aspect of medical gas installations from managing complete hospital additions, to simple outlet repair, to coordinating complicated source of supply system replacements. He is also fully trained in Cryogenic Cylinders and Bulk Gas Installations. Brendan finds the medical gas industry uniquely rewarding and has gained a greater appreciation for the challenges and complexities faced by the healthcare industry. "No two jobs are ever identical.”
